Here’s what happened today at the Apple event
Apple dropped the all-new Homepod mini which is a bit rounded and has a nice fiber cover that looks exactly like the one on the normal Homepod. It has the S5 chip which has the new U1 chip that was added to the iPhones about a year ago. It can now integrate with some third-party apps to play podcasts and music off the radio. All of this is for $99 which is a bargain compared to the normal HomePod.
Apple also dropped the all new iPhone 12 which has the ability to connect 5G internet with the support of 5 G ultra-wide band which is incredible. And the all-new iPhone 12 not only looks great, it also has a new blue color which is to die for. It also has a new ceramic shield glass which is even more durable than any other phone on the market. It also has the all new A14 Bionic chip which has the new 5nm chip technology making it the fastest chip in any smartphone on the market, with a new 16 core neural engine that is 80% faster which is insane. It also has a new camera which is incredible with better night mode a better sensor and can shoot the best quality video and has MagSafe technology which supports 15 watt wireless charging and can snap onto the iPhone even if it has a case on. Apple also released an iPhone 12 mini which is basically the same but with a 5.4” screen and starts at $699 instead of $799.
A new iPhone 12 pro and pro max were also release and those are made with more premium materials and comes in silver, graphite, gold and pacific blue which all of them look stunning. These phones come with 6.1” and 6.7” screens respectively. Still on the triple camera system though.
New cases , a wireless charger and a sleeve which the iPhone 12 can detect if it’s inside and views the time and now the iPhone doesn’t ship with a charging dock or EarPods which is great new for those who already have them but bad new for those who don’t. All of the iPhones have Face ID.
The “ vanilla” iPhone 12 and the iPhone 12 pro will be available on October 16th and the other 2 models will be available on November 6th.
